December 2nd (0-Minutes)
No meeting this week, as presentations should be prepared for Thursday (presentation day).
November 25th (0-Minutes)
No meeting this week, as Rough draft, Roadway & vehicle circuitry was to be completed, along with completion of the necessary tests for the vehicle and roadway.
November 18th (5-Minutes)
This week, meeting went by quickly. It was explained that further meetings were not necessary, as long as report, website, and design were all completed by due date. Report must be updated soon in order for Dr. Ejaz to check the rough draft. Some tasks that were needed to be completed are:
-
Finishing Rough Draft of Report
-
Finishing Roadway & Vehicle Circuitry.
-
Finishing Website Design
-
Completing all necessary tests for the vehicle and Roadway.
November 11th (0-Minutes)
This week, there was no meeting due to the holidays. (Valencia College has recognized Veteran's Day, in parallel with UCF) .
November 4th (15-Minutes)
Briefly Discussed and showed with Dr. Ejaz progress on testing vehicle designs from prior week
and reasoned changes and additions to current design implementation. Briefly Discussed progress on
roadway design from prior week and reasoned changes and additions to current design implementation.
Discussed some result from distinguished tests undertaken. Set tasks for next week consisting of:
-
Continue testing and work on report.
October 28th (15-Minutes)
Discussed and showed with Dr. Ejaz progress on vehicle design from prior week and reasoned changes and additions to current design implementation. Discussed progress on roadway design from prior week and reasoned changes and additions to current design implementation. Discussed current distinguished tests and alternative potential tests to undertake. Set tasks for next week consisting of: further testing and troubleshooting vehicle build and roadway build, complete verifications, organize and record data.
October 21st (45-Minutes)
This week, a review of old presentations were discussed. Improvements needed to be made before the next presentation. There was a discussion upon the completion of the circuit for the roadway. Testing phase is to come the following week. Schottky diodes were successfully designed to rectify the circuit properly. The following tasks for next week consist of:
-
Complete roadway circuit and get ready for testing and troubleshooting
-
Update website
-
Improve website menu and text size for Progress Log.

October 14th (10-Minutes)
This week, Patrick was absent, due to sickness. So, a review of what entailed the previous week was discussed. Discussion of the completion of the circuit for the roadway needed to be completed. The circuit for the roadway was completed, and now onto the testing phase for the upcoming week was to be done. The vehicle was already completed, using Schottky diodes in order to convert VAC to VDC, in order to charge the vehicle. The following tasks for next week consist of:
-
Testing and troubleshooting roadway build.
-
Progressing and installing the charging plates for the vehicle.
-
Complete available verifications and data.
October 7th (20-Minutes)
This week, we discussed and showed Dr. Ejaz progress on vehicle design from prior week and reasoned changes and additions to current design implementation. We also discussed our need for better vehicle guidance system, in addition to roadway barriers to smooth vehicle control. We went over the potential of utilizing wheels attached to the vehicle body, as a remedy to this problem. We then went on to progress on roadway designs from prior week and reasoned changes and additions to current design implementation. Tasks were set for next week consisting of:
-
Testing and troubleshooting vehicle build.
-
Progressing and potentially completing roadway build.
-
Complete available verifications and data.
September 30th (30-Minutes)
Discussed and showed Dr. Ejaz progress on vehicle design from prior week and reasoned changes and additions to current design implementation. Showcased the routed vehicle, and also discussed and showed progress on roadway design from prior week. Discussed and showed potential design differences and impacts on potential current draw by utilizing dual motor wheel drive instead of a four wheel drive. Set tasks for next week consisting of:
-
Completing roadway build
-
Complete available verifications and data
-
Begin testing of design.
September 23rd (30-Minutes)
Discussed and showed with Dr. Ejaz progress on vehicle design from prior week and reasoned changes and additions to current design implementation. Discussed our need for an axle to maintain motor stability and vehicle control. Discussed 3D designing and printing electric vehicle chassis as well as the axle. Set tasks for next week consisting of:

-
Complete design and assembly of vehicle
-
Start and complete design and assembly of roadway
-
Complete available verifications and data
-
Complete vehicle and roadway parts list and costs
-
Begin testing of design
September 16th 2019 (30-Minutes)
Discussed with Dr. Ejaz results from prior week and the mitigation of technicalities on the project by focusing on the aspect of dynamic wireless power transfer. Discussed that rectified high frequency should not impact battery charging. Discussed the potential risk impact of AM electromagnetic interference (EMI) with running at high MHz frequency along with potential mitigations. This can be further analyzed in a risk assessment section. Discussed multiple areas to add and review with regards to final report. Reviewed Engineering Specifications table. Set tasks for next week consisting of: completing vehicle build, complete available verifications and data, complete vehicle and roadway parts list and costs.
September 9th 2019 (45-Minutes)
The third meeting, professor Ejaz urged us to move forward quickly, as not much was done over the summer (besides research, again). A small itinerary list was given, which was needed to be fulfilled:
-
Update Website
-
Change titles from Senior Proposal and Senior Project to Senior Design Proposal and Senior Design Project.
-
Add in entry pages for Senior Design Project section.
-
-
Begin working on vehicle for the week.
-
Test charging capabilities of vehicle.
September 2nd 2019 (No Meeting)
This week, there is no meeting, as Hurricane Dorian attempted (and failed) to strike Orlando.
August 29th 2019 (1st Class Meeting-30 Minutes)
