May 8th, 2019 (20-Minutes)
During our first meeting with Professor Ejaz, we discussed two potential project ideas, with one as a preferential project. One was a fully autonomous Hydroponics system, while the other was a self-charging EV vehicle system. Professor Ejaz required that further research is needed, with an added senior design proposal of a universal charging plate for wireless charging.
May 13th, 2019 (15-Minutes)
During our second meeting, Professor Ejaz has discussed that Patrick and Norman do further testing to see feasibility of the project. More testing was required in a sense that the following needs to be calculated:
-
Test Power Transfer.
-
Test Output Voltage.
-
Test different types of plates, distances, and aforementioned frequencies for Capacitive Coupling.
-
Research upon different methods for proper load of a charge.
May 27th, 2019 (25-Minutes)
Third meeting, Professor Ejaz has discussed the discrepencies of efficiency and power transfer, and the possibility that it may not be feasible. So research was done and a circuit was built to show how a properly set up inductive network to compliment the Capacitive Coupling project. Afterwards, Professor Ejaz explained that a little more testing was required to be sure this senior project will be successful. If by the following week, the project is not feasible, Norman and Patrick will need to look for another project to tackle.
June 5th, 2019 (15-Minutes)
Fourth meeting, with proof that the project is feasible, Professor Ejaz explained that Norman and Patrick will need to work on the following:
-
Testing for moving vehicle.
-
Block diagram of system.
-
Similar existing ideas or products.
-
Components that will be used.
June 12th, 2019 (15-Minutes)
Fifth meeting, a prompt meeting with Professor Ejaz, everything was fully approved and further explanation needs to be made in the form of the following:
-
A rough draft (some draft) of the report needs to be made.
-
Clarification needs to be made on the control system block in the block diagram.
-
Further testing of a moving vehicle needs to be made.
June 19th, 2019 (10-Minutes)
Sixth meeting, after meeting with Professor Ejaz, we were told that we were on the right path, with a few iterations of the website requiring to be fixed. For the following week, a meeting is not required, but if needed, can be requested. The following needs to be repaired, added, and elaborated on between the website and the report:
-
Block Diagram
-
Generated Requirements Page
-
Time & Efforts Page
-
Progress Page
June 26th, 2019 (No Meeting, 0-Minutes)
No meeting this week, professor approved of project, and urges us to continue writing up the report as suggested.
July 3rd, 2019 (5-Minutes)
Meeting this week was very quick, professor explained how the report should be set up, as instructed, the report would be finished by the end of the week, along with the website and power point presentation.
